Practical Shooter Terms of Use

1. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Practical Shooter App.
• You are responsible for protecting access to your account and devices, including passcodes, and for keeping copies of information you export.
• Using Practical Shooter App for an organisation or club means you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.

2. Privacy and data

Your use of Practical Shooter App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information is processed, how app data syncs, and how to request deletion. Local video projects and exported files may remain on your device or in your browser after sign-out or account deletion.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not use the app to publish unlawful, threatening or defamatory content.
• Do not reverse engineer or exploit the app, access another user’s data or account without authorisation, or interfere with other users, networks or security measures.
• Do not tamper with source match files, submit fabricated results, impersonate a competitor, or abuse the correction and issue-reporting process.

4. Competition data and rules

Practical Shooter App provides reference information for IPSC, USPSA and other practical shooting sports. We work to keep rulebook information accurate and current, but official governing-body publications remain authoritative. The app is an independent reference tool and does not replace official rulebooks, scoring systems, safety procedures or match-director decisions. No governing-body endorsement is implied.

Match catalogue records come from source exports and are provided for research and training. A record may be incomplete, delayed, corrected or removed; it is not the official result of a match. The app’s video editor adds overlays and on-screen analytics to recordings; it does not provide official timer or scoring results.

5. Match Uploads & Catalogue Participation

• You may upload a WinMSS CAB export only when you have the right or permission to share it.
• The Practical Shooter Events API may validate, parse, deduplicate, flag and publish structured match data from an upload.
• Do not upload personal information unrelated to match scoring or information you are not authorised to disclose.
• Competitor names and results in a source export may be visible to catalogue users. Your saved competitor identity, comparison selections and personal analysis settings remain associated with your account.
• You may report an incorrect result, duplicate or privacy concern. A report does not guarantee that a record will be changed, removed or republished.

6. Intellectual property

Practical Shooter App, its logo and related intellectual property belong to Outdoor Technica or its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable licence to use the app for lawful personal purposes, subject to these terms.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The app is provided “as is” and without warranties except where applicable law requires otherwise. To the extent permitted by law, Outdoor Technica is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Practical Shooter App in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right, remedy or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Disputes are subject to the courts of Ontario, except where applicable local law requires another forum or preserves a right to bring a claim elsewhere.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms to reflect app changes or legal requirements. We will communicate material updates in the app or by email where appropriate. Questions can be sent to app@outdoortechnica.com.

10. Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded Practical Shooter App from Apple’s App Store, these terms incorporate Apple’s Minimum Terms for Licensed Applications.

• The licence covers use only on Apple-branded devices you own or control, consistent with the Apple Media Services Terms of Service.
• Apple is not a party to this agreement and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Practical Shooter App.
• If the app fails to conform to a warranty, notify Apple; Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, and has no further warranty obligations to the extent permitted by law.
• Outdoor Technica is responsible for addressing claims related to Practical Shooter App, including product liability, regulatory compliance and consumer-protection claims, subject to applicable law.
• You must comply with applicable third-party agreements, such as your wireless data plan.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them regarding your App Store download.
